I was born long time ago, one beautiful autumn night, brought up as every other kid. Father is a musician… and accordingly from very childhood I listened and monitored how my father cultivated this. Music school gave me very much – as all other music school students I studied a lot of different subjects related to music, although it didn’t fascinated on 100%. That time I used to sing in a boys choir and that gave me an opportunity to see half of the world and get familiar with different music styles – from classics to African spirituals. Nevertheless, after graduating school, I had an opportunity to listen to my own preferences and music taste… and that is how I came up with hip hop. There are rumours that hip hop has died in this or that year… everyone states his own year… I don’t know why, but my passion is mostly for the grooves of 80s and 90s. Although I cannot simply deny everything that is called as progressive, and which one of my friends has one invited me to play in Ventspils… of course it was very exciting… as my DJing skills were close to zero. But I got used quickly to Pioneer CD turntables and my first performance was successful. I realized that I liked it a lot and me and my friend found a funny club in the Old city called Citas Debesis and played there for around a year. But then I realized that it is not my profile to change the CDs. Not long time after I have bought big turntables and everything that is related. Let’s say that every time I start to scratch this black, round vinyl good, my face gets covered with a smile and my body starts to move in the beat of music – this is an awesome feeling!!! Meanwhile I am DJing for my friends, in my club – which is my house. When you listen to your favourite music you start to smile and you surrender to the groove … and just let the groove come inside you… :)
